Staffordshire Doctors Urgent Care (SDUC) have been confirmed as the preferred bidder to deliver NHS111 services for the Staffordshire region, commencing in October 2015.
After a robust procurement process involving local patients in the decision making, Staffordshire’s Clinical Commissioning Groups are pleased to confirm that SDUC will continue to deliver the NHS111 service for the next four years, supporting Staffordshire’s six Clinical Commissioning Groups and a population of over 1.5 million.
Dr Chandra Kanneganti, Clinical Lead for the NHS111 Service in Staffordshire said: “Staffordshire Doctors Urgent Care provided a very thorough bid to deliver the 111 service, and we are pleased to be able to continue to work with them for the benefit of the population of Staffordshire.
"NHS111 is continuing to grow with over 5,000 calls received weekly by the service in Staffordshire providing health advice, support and signposting to the right health services across the county.”
NHS Commissioners in Staffordshire are committed to ensuring the 111 service continues to grow from strength to strength, providing advice, help and support to all patients on a 24/7 basis.
