The corporate and governance team which includes corporate governance works across a number of areas and is responsible for making sure that the CCG has a strong corporate governance structure in place to meet its legal duties and manage any potential risks. This includes managing the activities of the Governing Body, coordinating Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, ensuring the CCG is fully compliant with Information Governance (IG) requirements and meets pdf NHS standards for Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) (465 KB)  and the Equality and Diversity Act 2010.

The Corporate and Governance directorate is also responsible for the communications and engagement activities carried out by the CCG. The CCG is committed to keeping people up to date with developments to local services and to ensure that local people are able to have their say in the work of the CCG. The communications and engagement functions are also managed within this directorate and both are arranged to ensure that local people are able to have their say in the work of the CCG. pdf The Joint Communications and Engagement Committee (223 KB)  is responsible for the planning, development and monitoring of communications and engagement activity, as identified in the pdf Communications and Engagement Strategy (5.35 MB) , and provides regular updates to the Governing Body.

Finally the team lead on both human resources (HR) and organisational development (OD) to ensure the CCG has the workforce it needs to deliver its objectives and that it continues to be an organisation able to continually evolve to meet the needs of the local population.
